TV News
While the mediums of print and TV news vary greatly, at their core, they are quite similar
The New York Film Academy highlights this point in its article "Print vs Broadcast Journalism: Understanding the Differences". Stating that both forms of news aim to distribute information, and therefore "share much in common".
However, they also note that they "differ in significant ways". The biggest difference being in structure. The New York Film Academy emphasizes that print news adheres to a strict news style. Primarily in its use of the Inverted Pyramid Style and it's attention to meticulously constructed sentences
Alternatively, it points out that TV news focuses on simple, short sentences. The aim of which is to make the material easier for an anchor to read out loud.
In my experience, as a millennial in the technological age, TV news is the preferred medium because it provides fast updates on local news. Often providing a readily available stream of information daily.
Print news has its place as well. I feel print reporting is best suited for "harder" and more serious issues. In which more extensive research is necessary.
In contrast to TV news which I feel should generally be more lighthearted and locally relevant.
