GCC TV

I think that GCC having their own TV Channel would be great. I'm not entirely sure how that would work exactly, and how it would be accessed, but I think that if it was also posted online it would get a lot steam. I for one would definitely watch it as often as I could
As you mentioned in class, because this is a community college and there are no dorms, most students come to campus to get through their classes and go home as soon as possible. Unless a student so happens to be involved in after-school activities, no one seems to be aware of events on campus and can be be apathetic to them.
I think a channel would be a great opportunity to not only help keep students informed but also to build a more connected community.
I for one was really glad when I saw the video attached to the GCC homepage giving a rundown of local events, it was definitely more user friendly than of scrolling down through a long list. It certainly brought more "life" to the website by bringing a relevant and relatable voice to the college.
If the school launched something like this,  I would like to see programming that brings to light services or events happening on campus. As well as student features and interviews. Perhaps a segment in which the report goes around campus asking students about hot button issues or perhaps just on-campus events. I think that would be a nice way to add a personal touch to the channel.
